Managing Editor of Y!/YNaija.com, Isime Esene spoke on Politics, leadership and economic at the United States Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria on Monday 11 June, 2016.

The event was a ‘High-Level discussion on Political & Economic Leadership in Nigeria’ at the United States Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria.

Esene spoke about YNaija’s track-record in promoting the youth and their potentials in the Nigerian polity saying: ‎”Our efforts at YNaija through three focal points – politics, pop-culture, and people power is clearly yielding results as we all know the impact of young people in effecting a change of power during the 2015 presidential elections – not to talk of the contribution of StateCraft Inc., our governance communication affiliate under The RED Group, in making this happen.‎

“Engaging columns like the Y! Politico, which focuses on politics; Y! Naira&Kobo, an explainer series on finance and the economy; and the Y! Tech100, which highlights the potentials of our technology ecosystem adds to the depth of the discourse on our platform.

“‎Moving forward, we plan to roll out amazing content and innovative concepts pushing the boundaries of creativity and engagement in line with our sole objective – which is empowering the people by amplifying their voices,” he concluded.
