RED Co- Founder, Adebola Williams engages citizens on ‘How to Win Elections in Africa’

   

Adebola Williams, RED co-founder and co-author of ‘How to Win Elections in Africa: Parallels with Donald Trump’ hosted young and politically-conscious Nigerians to a symposium on youth involvement in elections and the creation of the next world order on Saturday, November 11 during the recent Lagos Book and Art Festival in Lagos, Nigeria.

The new book provides a comprehensive guide to understanding the key factors that contribute to the success or otherwise of any elections using examples from the authors’ frontline roles in the election of three presidents in Nigeria and Ghana as well as global epochal events such as the election of Donald Trump and the Brexit vote.

The panel session had in attendance Dayo Israel, an International Development specialist; Okechukwu Ofili, CEO and founder of Okada Books; Tolulope Adeleru Balogun, Radio Host and award-winning  Journalist at Nigeria Info FM, Lagos and Vimbai Mutinhiri, TV personality, offering varying perspectives based on their respective areas of expertise.

In Nigeria, ‘How to Win Elections in Africa: Parallels with Donald Trump’ will continue its tour around Nigeria with a stop at the upcoming Ake Festival this week in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The conversation will be about the extreme need for more female involvement in politics, especially in Nigeria.
